Organizing Tupperware And Tumbler Lids

Have you ever looked for a tupperware lid and they all come crashing down on you? Or you spend so much time looking for your tumbler lid?
For some reason we have all been there but don't do anything about it. I was inspired to reorganize my upper kitchen cabinets for these same reasons. At first I went to Target and Walmart thinking that their storage containers would be more affordable. However, after adding up all the prices for the cheapest containers I could find, still would cost me about $50. For some people $50 is a reasonable amount for containers but in my household, I always try to find the best deals.
There is a Dollar Tree about five minutes away from my house and I try to go there a few times a month to check out the new inventory. I like to shop at the Dollar Tree because it is truly a dollar store. I don't know about you, but I can't stand when a "dollar store" has products that are more than a dollar. A great tip that I found out from the sales associates was they get new shipments on Tuesdays and Thursdays, which I have used to my advantage.
As I was walking through the tupperware aisle, I noticed they had restocked their home organization section. Of course, I got very excited especially after what I found.
Usually, Dollar Tree always carries containers in bright, bold colors which I normally use for my classroom. In a home setting (unless you like these colors or they match your decor) they tend to be an eyesore. I found in the Dollar Tree Essentials Line, new plastic woven looking bins. They were extremely similar to the higher end bins found in both Target and Walmart for about $7-$15 each. My eyes lit up since they were in a few different sizes all for a dollar! I bought all the sizes for different projects around the house and for my main project which was tackling my cabinets. This was truly an amazing find at Dollar Tree.

Once I got home, it was time to get organized. I emptied out all of my cabinets with my husband's help and started from scratch.
On a previous trip to the Dollar Tree, I found contact paper in the perfect color that matched the counter tops of my bottom cabinets. I purchased seven rolls and it was perfect! Keep in mind, this contact paper is thinner than the standard thickness you find in other stores. Make sure when you use contact paper, you clean the surface first and have something flat to smooth out the air bubbles.
Then, I used extra paper tags from my scrapbooking bins to label what each container housed. I used two beige woven bins for tupperware lids and one beige woven bin for tumbler lids.
Now all my tupperware is organzied and easily accessable.
