Sunset Look

We were celebrating my husband's birthday with a BBQ in the park.

Since I have oily skin during the summer, I wanted to keep my makeup fresh looking so it would wear nicely as time passed.

I knew I wanted to try out the Morphe X Jaclyn Hill Palette since I just got it in the mail. I have loved watching Jaclyn Hill's videos for many years. This was the second time that they collaborated and was very curious about the new eyeshadow formula that took 2 years to create. I was also curious since these were all new shades as well.

I brought her first palette collaboration with Morphe a few years ago and honestly I wasn't impressed. It was titled Jaclyn Hill Favorites and for the price point it was okay. I thought that Youtube "over hyped" the favorites palette. I truly believe that you shouldn't compromise quality because of the price point.

When I touched/ swatched the eyeshadows in the new Jaclyn Hill Palette, they felt buttery & some of them felt "wet". They were all very pigmented and swatched amazingly. Instantly, I got excited to try them out. I feel this palette is a "layer palette" meaning that you can get a beautiful muti- dimensional look since alot of the colors have the same tones. The eyeshadows blend out like a dream which inspires you to be creative and keep layering on more colors.

When I saw the new palette, my eyes were drawn to the warmer colors first. Using the inspiration from my shirt, I created my version of a sunset look.
