My Wedding Day

Last year today, I married my soulmate. We truly made our wedding extremely personal. I didn't want my guests to feel like they attended the same cookie cutter wedding. From the location, to having it outdoors, the decor and even the makeup reflected us. On my next blog post, I will go into more detail about how I added those special touches at our venue.
I knew that on my wedding day, I wanted to do my own makeup. I felt that when I walked down the aisle, I wanted to look like me and not what someone else thought I should look like. Yes, that's what makeup trials are for etc. but with the vision I had in my head, I knew I could do it.
So, I watched so many Youtube videos on different wedding looks to get inspired. I even influenced my bridesmaids to feel confident enough so they could do their own makeup as well. They watched KathleenLights video called Drugstore Bridal Makeup Tutorial Using Affordable Brushes. We changed a few things, since they had a deeper skin color then her but for the most part, we used the same products. I also had a few makeup sessions at my house for them to practice their makeup for the big day.
Since I have oily skin, I wanted something fresh that would withstand the August heat. I was very happy with the final makeup look that I created and I only had to touch up once!
