This year I was really inspired with the "nontraditional" Fall decor. When I think about Fall decor, I immediately think of orange, red, brown and plaid; lots and lots of plaid.
Since Fall was fast approaching, I was getting excited to transition my decor from Summer to Fall. Last year I went the more traditional route with my decor and even though it look festive in my house, I felt that my regular home decor clashed with the seasonal touches. I wanted this year to find something that matched my rustic, beach, cozy vibe. I knew to achieve this look, I had to shop at different stores to get the desired look. I was definitely up for the challenge.
There is a Big Lots near my house and as I was walking up and down the Fall decor aisles their new Autumn Radiance Collection literally took my breathe away! The collection incorporated cream, beige, icy blue, mid tone grey, light green and a robins egg blue. It was stunning and I instantly got overwhelmed since I didn't know what I wanted to buy from the collection.

The first thing I noticed was their Embroidered Cottage Pumpkin Placemats on the left in the above picture. They were three dollars each and what a steal they were! I brought only two of them since I couldn't pick between the other placemats I loved on the right in the above picture. I felt these complemented the other placemats perfectly. So I brought two of these to complete the set for a table of four. Once I found these placemat, I knew the direction I wanted my Fall decor to look like. From there the hunt was on!
I got the spider web runner a few years ago at the Christmas Tree Shop. The webs are done in a metallic gun metal finish. It looks stunning when the light hits it.
The Metal Tabletop Wagon by Ashland is from Michael's in the picture below. I used Dollar Tree finds and some floral I found at Michael's to fill up the wagon. The plastic cream plated featured are from a 10 packet I found at Marshalls a few years ago.

I was pleased with my dining room table setting. A few days later I found a salt & pepper shaker squirrel and small hay bundle to add to the centerpiece. I got them both at the Dollar Tree which gave it the perfect touch.

I created the Fall wreath shown in the above picture using all Dollar Tree materials and the small pumpkin, stone and sign behind the wreath are from there as well. The larger 7" Glitter Gold Pumpkin decoration is from Walmart.

In my living room, I added only a few things. On my coffee table, the Fall tray, little plaster mummy and Fall flowers are all from Dollar Tree. The cardboard coasters are from Marshalls. The Fall leaves, small glass pumpkin and the other half of the plaster salt & pepper squirrel are all from Dollar Tree as well. You can find a lot of things in the dollar store, you just have to be patient and buy things over time.
My final living room touch was a Gather Pillow from the Autumn Radiance Decorative Pillow Collection found at Big Lots in the picture below. The 7" Glitter Orange Pumpkin is from Walmart like the gold one mentioned before.

I wanted create the sense of Fall the moment you walked through our door. When I was at Big Lots, I found a Cottage Pumpkin Outdoor Rubber Welcome Doormat from the same collection as my placemats. The Fall romantic wreath picture above, I created using items I found at Aldi and Michael's.

I had this wooden wreath since last year from Aldi Supermarket Company. Target has a similar one but they sell it for double the price. I wanted to add my own DIY touch to it so the wreath so it would follow the vibe I was going for.

I found these all of these floral arrangements at Michael's. They were very easy to disassemble since they were all wrapped in individual wires. Before I attached any of the pieces to the wreath, I played with the floral placement until I got the desired Fall look. It wasn't too hard to attach the floral pieces since I slipped the wires between the wooden flowers. I loved the end result!
